Crossing to the island of Gorée, this natural fort was, for five centuries, a fiercely contested stopover by Europeans and the main trading post for enslaved people leaving for the Americas. Visit the island's curiosities: the Castel and its panoramic view, the slave house built in 1776, the Saint Charles church, and the picturesque and colorful alleys. Lunch at the restaurant "Chevaliers de Boufflers". Road to Lac Rose. Discovery of the site, which owes its fame to its purple hue depending on the intensity of the sun's rays. Visit the lake, a Peulh village, and the salt collectors who line the lake. Possibility of swimming in the salt lake.

  Drive to St. Louis. (approximately 4 Hours). Upon arrival, enjoy a typical lunch at the restaurant "Galaxie." In the afternoon, take a horse-drawn carriage tour of the old colonial city, which UNESCO has classified as a world heritage site. The tour will include visits to the Faidherbe Bridge, the charming residences of notables, the City Hall, the Cathedral, the Airmail Museum, and the fishermen's district of Guet Ndar with its multi-colored pirogues. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel La Poste in Saint-Louis.

 After an early departure from Loumpoul (approximately 2 hours each way), you will visit the Djoudj Ornithological Park. This park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and serves as the first watering hole for migratory birds after crossing the Sahara. You can expect to see a variety of bird species, such as cormorants, pelicans, whistling ducks, and ospreys, as well as other wildlife like crocodiles, monitor lizards, warthogs, and jackals. The park is home to around 350 species. You'll explore the park by pirogue through the backwaters and then have lunch at the park restaurant before returning to Saint Louis at the end of the afternoon.

 After a hearty breakfast, start your day with a journey  (approximately 6 hours)in duration) to the Sine Delta and Saloum. Stop at Touba, home to one of Senegal's most influential Muslim brotherhoods, "Les Mourides." Explore the Touba mosque and enjoy a picnic lunch either en route or at the Relais de Kaolack before heading to the Saloum Delta.

 We will depart early for the village of Juffureh and James Island. The small village of Juffureh is famous because of the best-selling book Roots, written by Alex Haley, a descendant of Kunta Kinte. We will have a picnic lunch and then continue to Banjul, crossing the Gambia River by ferry (Approximately 1.5 hours by ferry)

 Departure for a visit to the Makasutu Reserve, a palm forest between the meanders of the Gambia River. This reserve combines several ecosystems (dense forest, mangrove, savannah) and is home to many animal species.
Canoe trip accompanied by a guide.
Lunch in the park, then return to Banjul for a city tour.

 We will return to Dakar, with a lunch stop at the Relais de Kaolack, then continue to Dakar. We will arrive at the end of the afternoon and transfer to the airport for the return home.
